Trauma of loss is an inevitable trait that lingers when much is taken from oneself, one’s family, their honour, prestige, the “what could’ve been”, and so on. No harder has that trauma hit the Pahlavi family as harsh as we saw during the recent attacks on Iran by Israel.
The unfortunate reality from the perspective of Pahlavi is his belief that if he stood firmly with the Israelis and American lobbies, his reinstating as Shah of Iran would’ve been a concrete deal and a new era of Royal-ism to reinstate Democracy could occur. The irony of the statement alone. However, lets dissect the realities of the Pahlavi’s, at an attempt to place the final nail in the coffin, and disregard their status as Royal, Royalty, or even Imperial Highnesses.
The Pahlavi “dynasty” is shorter than 60 years (57 to be precise), stemming from a dictatorship that suited Western interests for stationing of bases and oil exports. The “family term” began from a coup d’etat (Raza Shah I father when he was brigadier), against the then Qajar dynasty – an actual Persian dynasty and still to this day deserving of the Persian Crown, and rightful Heirs to the Crown of Persia, who ruled and consolidated Persia for 125 years. Hence, in conclusion to this merit, the Pahlavi’s are not a royal family but a brute army folk that were placed on a podium with diamonds (twice!) with no heritage, no belonging, or actual claim to royalty. Being as bold as to use terms of days of Princes and Dukes, even God wouldn’t have ordained them King for they are by birth not worthy.
In continuation, Raza “the Brat” Pahlavi has unfortunately shown his desperation for the crown and deeming himself perfect for such a seat. The reality is that if Raza so much as landed in Persia, the civil war complexities alone would’ve ruined him and his family, most probably diminishing them from history. The unfortunate hatred for the current regime by expat Persians (Pahlavi loyalists – or traitors?) has been a great tool, slowly and badly utilized against Tehran’s current administration, and now finally showcasing Pahlavi as someone who prefers the crown for personal endeavours, rather than nationalistic endeavours.
Machiavelli himself writes that a true prince must lead on higher morals, for higher morals and ideals, so as to sell those as administrative tools to lead his people. Unfortunately, Pahlavi not only stooped to supporting a genocide along other expats, and pushing the soft power so much so as to integrate with such lobbies, but also supported the bombing on Tehran and the Persian people, just for the sake of toppling of a government. Thus, unfit for rule by standards of Princedoms and Kings.
In political reality, Pahlavi does not have the political, geopolitical, and administrative acumen, nor regional intelligence (being americanized making it worse) to deal with the current issues of Persia. Iran is not suffering because the administration is unfit. Iran is suffering because the administration openly rejects supporting the global hegemon and believes in strengthening itself over falling to global order, a fate China had to face, Afghanistan has to face, Pakistan had to face, and Iraq had faced, Syria has faced, and Lebanon stays in limbo with. Therefore, the false belief that Pahlavi coming in and “modernizing” Iran will solve its problems by adopting skirts over chador’s isn’t actually the solution. The military intricacies that Iran has had in place, the way Iran is also a land mass of great proportions and on its way to becoming a regional Middle Power, all are threatened by a government misaligned with American ideals, hence one very difficult to navigate by someone who unfortunately is not fit for leadership.
The Pahlavi hatred is sealed, but youthful Persians aren’t the brightest bunch either. The tales of Royal families, Kingdom of Persia, and so on, all cover gruesome tales of oppression, bad governance, and regional ignorance. The game of geo-politics does require soft power, Windsor family is a pure tourist option for England and serves no greater purpose, however the Pahlavi hold no value of that order in the region nor in history. The youth has been misled believing the fabricated stories of feminism, the tall tales of oppression, even if you ask a tourist they will dictate the grandeur of Tehran in comparison to major cities in the world. The problem is the Islamic Regime suffers because it is based on the cultural clash of the global north and south. It further diminishes as the falsehood of Islam being an enemy, and rejection of its people, forces many youths to forego their identity and focus solely on their integration into society in some shape and form. It is an unfortunate cultural, and religious, truth, that those who wish desperately to be accepted will go on so far, as to accept a genocide of a powerful nation as the Palestinians, and then later support the bombing of their own capital.
This, thus, ends the story of the Pahlavi’s, and their false framed, painted with incompetence and genetic flaw, claim to Royal lineage and seat at the table of the Shah’s of Iran.
