Today is the oathtaking ceremony for the Interim-Setup with Kakar as our Caretaker-Prime Minister.
Kakar was already holding a senate position before being appointed as a caretaker by the sitting government of PML-N (Muslim League Nawaz). It is a very honorable move to step down as Senator to take on this role, although a very common thing to do as two-offices can’t be held simultaneously. Unless you’re Nawaz Sharif, then all is yours. However, the interesting point raised is the fact that he left his Political Party, the Balochistan Awami Party, to showcase neutrality.
If one was to read the history of the BAP, they will find two common features.
1 – Turncoat politicians, who swap parties to stay in power.
2 – Accusations of it being backed by Deep State Officials.
Obviously, the men in green avoid and deny any such involvement, as in 2018; they themselves declared having no political party, but are working for the country. Which is very adorable, judging from the state of affairs and violence that had ensued in the previous months. And lets not forget the Media “Hush-Hush” campaign, assuring that certain names would not be taken.
Another interesting fact about this selection, as most people would be mentioning; is Akhtar Mengals distaste for the situation, and creating a vacuum between the parties of BNP and PML-N. If we turn the wheels of time, it was Mengal himself prior to the elections in 2018 that mentioned that the BAP would be forced upon the Baluchi people, and is backed by “Hidden Forces”. I would love to be blunt, but I believe if I would be any more blunt, I would be writing my own warrant of arrest.
Kakar, who in 2013 won a seat in the Baluchistan Assembly whilst being a member of the PML-N party, ironic, how the turncoat ideology came true. By 2018 the BAP was formed who then developed a government in Baluchistan with PTI.
Another interesting use of words were, “Educated” and “Patriotic” by the Yesterday Sitting Prime Minister, for a caretaker setup, to allow fair elections that are to be held in the month of November – by constitution and law. The fascinating thought is, those words could’ve been used by the then Premier to select his cabinet members and his judges, who now are constantly being harassed both locally and internationally.
Another troublesome addition to these statements, is to “Carry on – what had begun”. This was in reference to economic policies that were put in place to protect the nation from its never-ending precipice from collapse. If economic stability was possible in a caretaker setup, within 90-Days, then two questions arise from this too. First, why didn’t the previous government succeed in the same amount of time? Secondly, are you actually staying for 90 days?
Hopefully, the nation would know the answers. Happy Independence Day.
See You Tomorrow.
