Diplomacy is the art of maintaining relations with Nations and Groups, whilst also promoting National Interests. Diplomacy in Pakistan, however, is a platform for promoting Personal endeavors and positions of power. Recently, a move has started to brew against the Former Premier, Imran Khan, who has been ousted and now is ineligible for elections. Our sources have updated us, that certain groups have gone out of their way and bestowed a task of developing a new law, to somehow completely eradicate individuals who used a Cypher Document, to create anti-Government and anti-State narratives.
As promoted and declared, we are not with any party nor are we affiliated with any groups. Hence, here is the analysis of what laws will be implemented, and how (most likely) these very laws will be wrongly applied. The information gathered so far indicates that the law of Official Secrets will be implemented, and that our “inspiration”, when in actuality, imitation, will be of the laws of secrecy in the United Kingdom & India.
Below are the Laws Pakistan plan to imitate:
- [India] “Wrongful Communication of Information” – The keywords within this statute are as follows-
“Any Person having in his possession or control”
“Likely to affect the sovereignty and integrity of the nation”
“…and friendly relations with foreign states.
The Defence for this law (Again only by keywords) – “Reasonably believes… that retention or communication of this document or information is communicated in contravention of this Act, shall be guilty…etc”.
- [England] Under the Heading of “International Relations” – If a “Servant” (Is or Was) of the Crown or Government Contractor… without lawful authority makes a damaging disclosure:
(a) Any information regarding International Relations
Section 3 – (Paraphrasing) – “IF” it is “Confidential” or “The nature of the contents” “Endanger a citizen… or the safety of citizens abroad”
Section 4 – Defense – (Paraphrasing) – Did not know… had no reasonable cause to believe…that this information “would be damaging”

The Men in the Right Positions (Diplomats)
Diplomats of the world are the closest thing to spies. Their job description is to protect and promote national interests. The wrongful blame that will be bestowed on Imran Khan and possibly Shah Mehmood Qureshi, depending on evidence, is the wrong target of this issue.
The two individuals that are solely to blame for this anti-government and anti-state narrative are the Former Ambassador to USA, Asad Majid and at his then Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood. Both, who had wished to benefit from this situation.

Asad Majid has now been promoted to Foreign Secretary, although coming to the end of his tenure. Sohail Mehmood who was ambitious enough to divulge all this information alongside Asad Majid, was hoping to be posted to Beijing, China, after the end of his career.
Since the laws are stated above, here is its application. For the British laws, “Servants of the Crown” would translate to Government/Civil Servants of Pakistan. The two who fit that description are Asad Majid and Sohail Mahmood. The Indian law directs to persons having possession and control over this information/document, again, the two who fit that description are Asad Majid and Sohail Mahmood.
Continuing from this, “affecting the integrity” and “relations with foreign states”, ironically done by two seasoned Diplomats, who failed to protect the integrity of Pakistan on international media, and for their sole promotions and political equities have done exactly the opposite. The exposure of the information, that in all honesty is not as dire as we have made it. However, the craftsmen, utilization and beneficiaries of these leaks, are none other than Former Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood and Sitting Foreign Secretary Asad Majid.
It is an unfortunate reality, that our senior diplomats, career-men, had chosen paths of personal endeavors over the national interest, integrity and promotion of Pakistan.
